Methodology and sources
Every member list and weight on this site comes from a published source: an exchange or provider composition file, or the holdings file of a physical ETF that tracks the index. Where none of those is public, the page shows Wikipedia's table (or, for the S&P/NZX 50, a list rebuilt from index funds' holdings), labels it unverified, and asks search engines not to index it. Every table says which source, and on which date.
Member lists are read from their sources every day. A list that fails that day's checks (a source that is down, a count out of range, weights that don't add up, too many members changing at once) keeps its last good version, and every table shows the date of its own data. Names and tickers come from each index's Wikipedia list where it matches the source. The per-index checks below count what the other sources list. Countries are countries of incorporation, taken from the ISIN. Sectors use the GICS sector names: the iShares and VanEck files give them directly, and Xtrackers' own labels are mapped to the nearest one. Market caps are taken daily from each exchange's listings and converted to US dollars at that day's rates; a company listed in several places takes the cap of its home listing. An exchange whose count drops sharply, or a rate that moves more than 20% in a day, keeps its last good value. Prices and change history come in a later phase.
How weights are taken
We show weights exactly as the source states them, rounded to 2 decimals. For ETF holdings, these are the fund's portfolio weights. We drop cash, futures and currency lines and do not re-normalize, so a column can sum to slightly less than 100%.
Currency
Weights have no currency. Market caps are shown in US dollars.
Update schedule
Sources are read daily. A page's date only changes when its data changes.
Corrections
Every fix to a published list is dated in the corrections log.

- The file has 49 stocks against an official count of 50: it is missing 1 member.
- No provider, exchange or fund file lists all 50 members, so this list is rebuilt from three index funds' month-end holdings: the NZ 50 ESG Tilted fund (the index less the companies its ESG rules exclude), the NZ 20 fund, and the small and mid cap fund's holdings that Wikipedia's (dated) table also lists. That finds 49 of the 50 members; the 50th is unknown. The funds' own weights are tilted, so they are not shown. Westpac and ANZ have no weight: the market cap quoted for their NZX line is the whole Australian bank's.
- The source gives members without weights, so we estimate each weight as the company's full market cap over the members' total. The index adjusts for free float or caps weights, so the real weights differ; a member with no market cap has none.

- We show 252 companies against an official count of 250: the source file still holds a member that is leaving, or has not yet dropped it.
- The list is the exchange's directory of listed shares, which the index is defined on. It can hold a few lines the index leaves out: listings younger than the index's waiting period, or shares under special treatment.
- The Saudi Exchange's own list is not reachable, so this is a market data screener's list of Main Market shares, less REITs and closed-end funds (codes 4330-4350 and 4700-4703), which the index leaves out. The weights are estimated from free-float market cap: the float shares times the price (Aramco's float is under 3% of its shares).
- The source gives members without weights, so we estimate each weight as the company's free-float market cap (float shares times the price) over the members' total. The index's own float and caps can differ; a member with no float has no weight.
- The file carries no as-of date, so the date shown is the day we read it.

- adx.ae is not reachable, so this is a data vendor's list of ADX-listed shares, less the secondary listings of Ooredoo, GFH, Oman & Emirates and Sudatel, whose home market is elsewhere. It has no weights, and the index's own eligibility screens are not applied.
- The source gives members without weights, so the page lists them alphabetically and has no concentration section.

- No provider, exchange or fund file lists the members, so this is Wikipedia's table, unverified. The weights are our estimates from market caps (28 of the 30; Egyptian Kuwaiti Holding and Tenth of Ramadan have no market cap quote). It can be out of date, and the date shown is the day we read it, not the day the table was last changed.
- The source gives members without weights, so we estimate each weight as the company's full market cap over the members' total. The index adjusts for free float or caps weights, so the real weights differ; a member with no market cap has none.
